On Tuesday morning, January 3rd 2017, my adoring husband, Sam 'Buddy' Brigman passed on. Sam said it is true what they say, "that cancer is a fight". Sam's body just couldn't fight any longer and he is now pain free. I don't know what else to say except thank you for the love, support, hugs and tears that kept us going through 2016.
This is the most difficult journal entry for me and for the rest of us Sam fans left behind. Please remember how he made us laugh; how he was a true southern gentleman; how he was a pirate 200 years too late; how his art lives on and how his love lives on through his children and grandchildren. He was one of a kind. Peace out.
Sam wished to be cremated. I will have a celebration of life in Huntsville, Alabama at a later time. In lieu of flowers you may donate to the Fisher House Foundation.
